Fueled by passion for education and social equity, Nerissa always wanted to be an educator. Nerissa worked as a peer and youth educator with the Breakthrough Collaborative, an educational enrichment program serving at risk students. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in African American and Gender Studies, Nerissa taught on the West Side of Chicago for two years. It was during that time in Chicago that Nerissa was introduced to the world of educational technology and has not looked back since.
Nerissa currently works as a Technology Integrator at Mary McDowell Friends School, an independent school for students with learning disabilities.
